She is the first born of the Pye Divine Nine. She was the first of the nine to move north to Chicago where she worked so she could send money to help support the family still living in Mississippi. She was not only beautiful, but she was also brilliant, finishing first in her class. When we remember her we can remember a woman who cared for and about her family.

Like Rachel, she finished first in her high school class. She was a high school guidance counselor and encouraged many students to go to college. She would persuade parents who did not see the value of college to let their children go. She was beautiful, brilliant, and fun.
